Analyze the reasons of baby's hyperhidrosis

Baby nearly 8 months old, lively and lovely, his little hands and feet are ceaselessly moved and played happily. He drinks milk when it is the time to drink and sleeps when he should sleep. But a fly in the ointment is that baby always perspires, more than adults. Is baby lacking of calcium? Is it necessary for baby to inject vitamin D3? But besides perspiration, there is nothing abnormal and I don't know what to do.

Some babies who often perspire at night, is he suffering from rickets? Elderly people often say that, children should be sweated more than adults, and do not need to make a fuss. Is it unimportant that baby sweat too much? Are adults too sensitive?

Perspiration is one of normal physiological function of human body. It can adjust bodily interior normal temperature through the skin evaporating water. But sometimes, perspiration is caused by some diseases which exist in the body. Therefore, there are physiological perspiration and pathological perspiration in medicine. This kind of common phenomenon makes mothers to be very sensitive, but they do not know much about it. As a result, during baby's growth process, they often have all kinds of qualms and misunderstanding.

Physiological perspiration

1. It is a cerebral reaction to outside stimulation. Infants and young children are at the stage of rapid growth, the metabolism is more exuberant than adults, and they always keep moving, the skin contains much moisture, the capillaries distribution is widespread, and more important thing is their adjustment ability to hot and cold is poor, once stimulated by the environment or exciting, more moisture content will be distributed through skin, especially in the hot weather season, the room temperature is excessively high, the dress or the bedding are too thick, eat hot food fast and after the activity.

2. The growth of nervous system is imperfect. Some mothers first are worried about that their babies are suffering from rickets as soon as they saw babies have much perspiration. Actually, perspiring a lot is not the unique performance of rickets. Because baby's nervous system function has not consummated, the excitability of sympathetic nerve is high which will lead to hyperhidrosis. So long as baby has no other exceptional performance, parents do not need to think that it is abnormal. This kind of perspiration is different from rickets, mostly because of the excessive activity on the daytime and perspiring many after baby falls asleep. It often occurs within half hour after baby falls asleep. It mainly appears on head and neck, especially on the forehead and not wet the quilt, but the chest and back may also perspire. So long as baby falls into deep sleep, the perspiration will gradually reduce. With the consummation of baby's nervous system, the phenomenon of perspiration will be better.

Pathological perspiration

Medical diseases exist in the body. Many diseases may cause pathological perspiration, such as malnutrition, activity rickets, activity tuberculosis, diabetes, hyperthyroidism etc. But during perspiration, there will be obvious symptoms of the primary affection appear.

Nervous system diseases exist in the body. If it is partial perspiration or half-length perspiration, mostly caused by nervous system diseases, but also accompanied by many kinds of performances of nervous system disease.

Body fever. When the body has a fever, perspiration caused by using of febrifuge brings the body temperature down.

The reasons and countermeasures for baby hyperhidrosis at night

After naughty baby falls into sleep, his forehead and nose often seep out sweat and his chest and back are also perspiring, baby's spirit is very good in daytime, he can eat and play, and he does not look like sick; the weather is not too hot, so how can he have much perspiration?

What exactly happened?

The sweat is vented through sweat gland which distribute on the skin. Sweat gland is controlled by sympathetic nerve, and the amount of sweat and the sweat gland's growth situation are relative to sympathetic nerve sensitivity. Baby's sweat gland and nervous system are not yet consummated, and metabolism is exuberant, the skin capillaries distribute many, the moisture content is big, these physiological characteristics are the main causes of baby hyperhidrosis at night.

Lively and active children have more exercises during the day and generated more heat. The body has not been able to distribute excess heat out and his temperature can reach 38 degrees Celsius. After falling into sleep, the body distributes excess heat out through perspiration after sleep to maintain the normal temperature. If the weather is hot and the ventilation of bedroom is poor, children are easy to perspire. This kind of perspiration is called "physiology perspiration”, it usually happens at night and will subsidise gradually. For physiology perspiration, you don't need to worry too much. You should pay attention to reduce the activity amount of children during the day, especially the activity amount before sleep. Don't give children a lot of hot food and hot drinks, the bedding should be changed according to the seasons, children cannot be covered with the thick quilt.

A small number of children perspires at night is caused by the diseases, and the rickets is the common one among these. You can observe whether children have the symptoms of restless sleep, fidget, fiddle-footed etc to judge that the perspiration at night is caused by diseases or not. If so, parents should take their children to see a doctor for diagnosing.

Acute or chronic infection may also cause children perspiring at night. The perspiration on the latter half of the night is also called night sweat, which is caused by much consumption of physical energy, and the blood sugar density reduces before dawn cause the sweating, such as activity pulmonary tuberculosis patient's night sweating. Such children are often in close contact with tuberculosis patients. Besides the symptom of night sweat, there are also fever, weight loss, cough and other symptoms. To take a blood test, the erythrocyte sedimentation rate value increases.

Normal children, even if their perspiration are excessive, parents do not need to worry too much. They can use dry towel to wipe the sweat promptly and change the underwears frequently to prevent children catch a cold due to desudation. Let children take a bath frequently and his bedding or sleeping bag should often bask to keep dry, and simultaneously carries on the sterilization and disinfection. For those children who were suspected to suffer from pathological perspiration, parents should take them to the hospital for inspection and adopt appropriate treatment. With the improvement of the symptoms, the symptom of sweating at night also disappears naturally.
