White series occupy important position of natural marble variety， whatever what popular color change, white color always is one of the favorite colors to people.       White cloud rock is come from sea facies sediment rock and lagoon sediment rock, mainly consist of mineral Ca, MgO is high to 20%.  White cloud rock usually contain calcium mixing material.  White cloud rock appear to be white, grey and grey black color usually, and the structure is symmetrical fine grain, some times to be rough grain, and clump. White cloud stone mineral bed usually shows to be layer state, volume density is 2.8-2.9g/cm3, anti pressure 65-110 Mpa, water absorbtion is 0.04%-1.4%.
      White cloud rock marble usually is white, egg white color, spread widely in our country, like Chinese white jade from Beijing. Its structure is symmetrical, some have beautiful picture like mountain and river, high luster, good for decoration, usually is used to be top grade decoration stone.

      Marble rock
      Marble rock is wholly crystal quality metamorphose rock, it is carbonate rock changed to be crystal by high temperature high pressure which caused by volcano break forth.  Seldom There is pure marble, usually, the marble rock container some quantity of other mineral, due to the conditions that the marble come into being, its other mineral quite different, grain structure also different, thus there are many kinds of rock.  by its content, it could be divided to be area metamorphose rock, contact metamorphose rock, and hot liquid metamorphose rock, white marble are area metamorphose rock, contact metamorphose rock.

      Resources location
      Our country have rich white marble resources, there are several famous big quarry: “Dongfang white” “baoxing white” from sicuan, “white haitang” from Yunnan, “ Snow white” from Heko, they represent South west quarry; “quyang jade” “snow white” from Quyang, “Chinese white jade” from Fangsan”, they represent north east quarry,  “Snow white” from Laizou, “snow white” from Ganyu represent east quarry. Except shanghai, Chongqing, Qinghai, Tibet, there is no report about marble quarry, marble mineral site are found in  27 provinces, cities, municipality, total about 192 places. The variety are of comparatively big portion.

      Main variety in western area

      In the first meeting “china famous stone variety evaluate meeting” held in quanzou in 1998, there are 7 varieties of white marble were evaluated as “china famous stone variety”, they are “Chinese white jade” from Beijing, “snow white” from Shandong laizou, “baoxing white”  and “qinghua white” from sicuan, “sujin white” from sicuan small gold mountain, “ snow white” from Yunnan heko, “white haitang” from Yunnan luliang, marble from western area take 70% upon portion. Also other famous variety are “quyang jade”, “snow white” from hebei quyang, “snow white” from Jiangsu ganyu, “cangbai jade” from Yunnan dali, “fugong white” from Yunnan fugong etc.
